We are loving our ward! There are tons of really young families and couples and we are making lots of friends. I love how the church brings us all together!
Devin and I have a new calling. We are nursery workers! It may be one of the best callings in the church. We get to play the whole time and have snack! ha;) We are on our third week about and it is really fun! We really like getting to know all the little kids in our ward.
At work I sometimes get some random questions about our church. One girl in particular, Megan, bombards me with questions when we work the same shift. One time she came up to me and said "So and so said Mormons are diggers and that is how the Mormon church was founded". ... How do you respond to that one?
I think there are also some buzzer words that when you are talking to people who have no idea who the Mormons are, that we should avoid. Like 'Gold' plates. I should have said record. Whoops, I got the crazy look on that one when I said that must be referring to when Joseph Smith dug up the Gold plates.
She has asked me several times why we need another Bible. I tell her that it is a record of the people living in the Americas and it clarifies doctrines in the Bible that were taken out during translations. I must have also mentioned something about it talking about Christ because she asked me how it talked of Christ when Christ was in Jerusalem, not in the Americas. Oh boy this is another buzzer word time. So I tell her that we believe in life after death and that after Christ died he was resurrected and went to visit the people living in the Americas. Yep I got another crazy look. I take for-granted the knowledge that I have grown up knowing all my life, they are such unknowns to the rest of the world.
I think I have officially confused her and led her to believe Mormons are crazy people!

Meeks, good work! It's the thought that counts, she may think we're crazy, but I'll be she's curious!!
