December has come! I can't believe it is already here. Time flies and here I am 7 months pregnant! Nicolina invited me to go find a Christmas tree with her. Both our husbands were busy working so the two of us and her two kids drove 50 mintues away to a tree farm where Nicolina had researched had the cheapest trees you cut yourself. When we left my house we were starting to get a few snow flurries... by the time we got there it was a winter wonderland! Too bad I left my camera home! It was so picturesque... So picture this: we WoMen took our saw and chopped down our own trees! Yes it may have taken me a while and Nicolina said I looked like I was cutting bread when I was sawing at my tree, but even with my pregnant belly I can cut down and carry my own tree. We managed to haul two trees, two freezing kids, and ourselves back to the van. The tree people were super nice and packaged and tied our trees to the van for us. By the time we got home we had about 6 inches of snow! Crazy. However my winter wonderland is gone now because its been raining this week.

This is our beautiful tree! It's our first one since we've been married because last year Devin and I were moving over Christmas. Devin's family has the tradition to make a Christmas ornament every year so our tree is filled with his memories since he was a babe. It is so fun, I love it!
Our Christmas tree made a mess of pine needles on the floor. This is how we learned that our vaccum (in Devin's language) Sucks.. or rather doesn't! It does make really nice lines on the floor but it mostly grinds up the dirt and leaves it all on the floor. Devin got so frustrasted, we went out and bought ourselves a Christmas present.

This is our Hoover WindTunnel2 Macho Vac! This thing gets the job done! It's huge. Our carpet looks brand new. This is how cleaning moves up from a chore to a hobby.
Devin got so excited about it, the next day I came home from work and our apartment was SPARKLING! Every room was vaccumed, the kitchen was cleaned, closets de-junked, floors mopped, bathrooms so clean Devin said you could eat off the toilet seat! Impressive! The wonders of a new vaccum!
But a crime scene was also left:
