Christmas!

Christmas morning finally came!
Our stockings were filled, presents were stacked by the tree, and we felt so blessed!  We even watched a few snow flurries fall out our window and the roads were white (with salt).
It was Bridger's first Christmas and I'm sure that, if he noticed, he loved it.  Bridger loves to empty out all my drawers and laundry baskets, so I filled him a whole box full of strips of fabric, plastic bags and wadded up paper, with a couple books at the bottom.  I think he liked it.  He emptied out the whole thing, and left the books.  Then we filled it back up and he emptied it a second time.  He got a cute coat and outfit from his daddy.  And  his Grandma's and Grandpa's pampered him with toys, books and new outfits.

(Sweet moments!)

Devin unwrapped these stylish PJ's!  They are awesome and I'm sure they are super comfy and warm.  I think he should wear them on his winter scout camp-outs.  He and Bridger are two lucky boys, they both get to sleep in onesie pajamas now.  Cool kids.
My Christmas present was hand-made by my manly husband.   I asked for a Christmas quilt.  We picked out the fabric together but he manned the sewing machine single-handily.  The only part I helped with was the tying and he had to teach me how. Devin did a professional job on it and I love my new quilt! I am excited to put it to use in future years by sleeping under the warm quilt and gathering our family together on our Christmas quilt and reading the Christmas story.

My sewing project this season was Bridger's stocking.  My family all has matching stockings.  Ours won't all match exactly but they are fun and sewn with love and suit the purpose of holding lots of chocolate and pistachios and oranges.  Bridger got a jar of peaches in his stocking this year.  He loves peaches!  (Bridger's stocking is on the left, mine is the middle and Devin's is the cowboy stocking on the right.)
One of the Poulton family traditions we continue is to make a new Christmas ornament for the tree each year.  This year we made these fun marble decorations.  They were super easy and fun to make.  I bought these glass ornaments at Michael's on clearance and some acrylic paint.  Then all we did was pop off the tops, pour some paint in, swirl it around, and WHALA!  I think they turned out superb!  We only needed to make three, but we had such fun we did all six.
