We made it over the hump and past the itches and still we're going strong!
These years have been full of life, learning and growth. Not just saying that as a cliche. Looking back, there is so much that I thought I knew, now I see how much I don't know, how much learning I still have to do. This is true when it comes to myself, to Devin and I, to raising children, everything.
I found out there is so much more life to be had after "Happily Ever After". Eight years, 96 months... 3 states, 7 moves, 3 kids, 2 businesses later... He's the only one I want by my side. We are more seasoned, and have more realistic expectations, and I know now how hard and how sweet life can be.
I love him way more now.
We celebrated by taking a weekend away together. Gratefully, my dad came to watch the kids and we took off. Since I planned it, we did some of my favorite things. We hiked in Shenandoah, biked through apple orchards and beautiful country, and stayed far away from everything in a little Bed and Breakfast. It was a short trip, but I loved it. It was a great escape. Looking forward to many more great years with this guy!
