The morning started with a Thanksgiving RUN! Emily and I ran the 10K and Bridger and Elena did the kids 1 mile run. It was my kind of morning, friends and family all running together ;). We each had our running buddy, Emily and I paced together the whole time and Bridger and Elena did too. When they got done, Bridger started asking when he could run another one! The kids raced all the way back to the car. So fun!
We hosted Thanksgiving dinner at our house. We had the Nyquists (Joel, Emily, and their kids), some of their friends, and the Leavitt's (Shauna, Matt, and Charlie). The kids all got along wonderfully. Good food and friends made for an enjoyable afternoon. I really wanted to invite them all back the next night to do it again!
Then the kids put on a play for us about the first pilgrims...

The day after Thanksgiving there was a parade down through Reston Town Center. Pretty impressive what they put together. They handed bells out to all the kids before it started, and then once it did start it just kept going and going.
