We went to a place called Hollin Farms this year. They had peaches, blackberries, tomatoes, peppers, squash, etc... I picked a pint of blackberries, two pecks of peaches and 13 pounds of tomatoes. I didn't go overboard this year. Last year, Nicolena and I each spent about $70 on peaches. We bottled them all and they turned out great. However, I wasn't in for that much of an investment this year. It is hard for me to want to pay so much because if I were in a different place, lets say, Utah, I'd be getting most this produce for pennies. Fresh produce is so delicious though, so I did get some peaches to freeze and make into jam, and tomatoes for salsa.
It is just a fun experience to go pick. Bridger didn't love when I was picking blackberries because I had him in this front carrier and the bush was always sticking out and rubbing up on him and in his face. He was a good sport though. Fun/productive day!
