Yes perfect timing to miss all the Easter candy. Don't worry... I have a special bag of Cadbury Eggs saved for when I complete my goal! :-)
#2. Run a Marathon
Which means start running now. I'm shooting for a marathon in November so that should give me plenty of time to train. Remember Bill Murray in "What About Bob"... Baby Steps! I've got the first three miles down great! ... Only 23 more to work up to.
I'm posting these goals so you can hold me accountable for them. Motivation helps!
Today was the first day I tried running with both my children. My friend Katie passed on her double jogger to me, and I am so grateful. Myra is still a little small for it, but I made it fit snugly for her. Pushing two kids builds extra muscles! ... especially with flat tires. Next time I will remember to have them pumped up.
Bridger and Myra did awesome. Myra wasn't sure about it in the beginning, but after she was buckled and bundled and we started going she fell right to sleep. The first mile and a half Bridger and I practiced counting to 12! The second mile and a half we practiced the alphabet. He is one smart kid. He can count up to 10 pretty much on his own, although sometimes he skips number five. He chimes in many letters throughout the alphabet too.
Hooray for being sore tomorrow! ;)
