Grands in DC

We were SO LUCKY to have my Grandma and Grandpa Halladay come to Virginia!!!  They accompanied my mom and sister Katey.  We had the best time with them while they spoiled us to pieces!
Grandma packed her bags full of frozen yummies for us!  This is one reason among many, why I love my grandma!  She packed her own frozen beans and corn, delicious peach/raspberry jam and a package of Maddox's Turkey Fried Steaks!
They came the week leading up to Easter.  We did some more touring of DC sights.  One day was spent at Mount Vernon.  I hadn't been there before and I loved it!  It is great to have so much history so close to where I live.  And I don't know any of it, so I love the chance to be able to learn so much!  Mount Vernon is home to George Washington.  We were able to tour his home, walk through his amazing gardens, see his tomb, and go through the museum at the end.  Bridger and Myra did really well through it all.
The cherry blossoms came out super early this year.  We had some super hot days that brought all the blossoms out, and then it cooled off.  So when grandma and grandpa and mom and Katey came out, the trees had mostly leafed out, but there were still a few pretty blossoms they could see.
Katey just started junior high Track.  She kept me in shape while she was here by making me run with her every day!  Grandpa Norm was impressive too... one of the first things he did was check out our Community Center which is right by our house.  Every day when we got back from our outings he would go on a bike ride down the WOD trail and then come back and go swimming at the community center!  I think he was able to better take advantage of where I live than I do myself.
Bridger always loves having so many fun people to play with.  My grandma and grandpa insisted Devin and I go on a date one night, which doesn't happen often, so that was so fun for us too!  It was definitely a win for us to have them visit!
Such a fun filled week!  Here are some of the pictures...
