Miss Particular

Myra is full of opinions.

She always has been, at least since she figured out what was going on. For example, when we were in Utah over Christmas, Myra saw my mom frequently drinking out of her water bottle. So when grandma tried drinking out of a regular cup Myra through a fit! Which essentially translated to "Hello... grandma... don't you know you're drinking out of the wrong cup?!"

She also used to be very particular about which hip I held her on. She wasn't happy unless she was on my right side.

She eats her oatmeal out of the blue bowl every morning.

She loves peanut butter and honey sandwiches. She won't touch it if it is jam instead of honey.

Myra also is full of opinions for the way we do bedtime. When I lie her down I have to cover her with her favorite pink blanket so she can feel the fuzzy soft side on top and by her face and hands. Give her a drink. Leave the door open exactly 4-6 inches, serious... if its too wide she's unhappy, if I close it she throws a fit. And tell her I will come back in the morning. I have to say "I'll be back" or she starts crying "come back, come back..."

How much do I indulge her in, and how much do I tell her this is just the way it is?  One of Bridger's new favorite sayings is "You get what you get, so don't throw a fit Myra!" She would love to make all the rules. Unfortunately, I don't let two year old's rule the house...We are working on it, slowly.
