That Sneaky Leprechaun

St. Patricks Day came and we were set with our trap! Bridger and Devin devised a cunning plan... Bridger was going to sleep at the foot of his bed so he would wake when the jingle bell sounded indicating the little green leprechaun had followed the trail of raisins, was enticed by the gold (earrings), and got caught inside the box. Nearly foolproof, but the Leprechaun cut a hole in the tape and escaped, leaving behind chocolate gold coins and some loose change. Bridger was very animated about it that morning. Catching a leprechaun is almost as good as trying to catch Santa Clause.

Myra went to bed wearing 18 month sized pajamas because they were green and she was worried the leprechaun would come pinch her in her sleep for not wearing green. I'm not sure why those pajamas were still in her drawer, they did not fit, despite how uncomfortable it must have been, she went to sleep wearing them anyway! Myra was terrified of being pinched. Bridger couldn't wait to wake up and pinch somebody!

The funny thing about St. Patricks day, is that I never set out for it to be a big holiday, but Bridger remembers crazy details from past years and he reminded me of all the things leprechauns might leave behind on our table... so we have rainbow cheerios decorating our plates and a great big rainbow the kids ate up.
Eating all things green...

They had thought up everything they would do with their gold, Bridger was going to buy a pet mouse, Myra planned to buy lots of candy! Next year's trap is already in the works... Bridger has big plans!
