The Vacuum and the Bridger

Bridger is terrified of the vacuum.  I usually try to distract him in one corner of the apartment with toys while I try to vacuum the other end.  But the second I hit the start button, a nervous Bridger starts crawling my way.  Unfortunately, crawling to mom also means crawling toward the big, scary vacuum!  As he gets closer, he gets more and more nervous, trying to stay away from the big, scary vacuum while trying to get to me.  Unless I stop and save him, I usually get a screaming Bridger hanging on my legs.
I often wonder what is in his dreams; I think I know what is in his nightmares.

Ha ha!
I love this post! I actually had the same exact problem today while I was vacuuming. Gracie wasn't scared of the vacuum until recently and I don't know why. It can make it a challenge since you can't really vacuum while they are napping :) I guess they will out grow their fears eventually...but then those fears turn to monsters. So, until then, I guess we just make them face their fears...literally. :)
