July 4th

We haven't been too exciting on Independence day for the last couple years. Nap times and bedtime for Bonzo seems to supersede all patriotic events, fairs, fireworks, ...
This year, we ate a delicious pancake breakfast the ward puts on every year.  So Yummy!  Then we spent the rest of the morning at the park.  We were able to pass by all the ticket booths because Bridger was free!  Kids only have to pay when they are two and up.  It was perfect for us.  Bridger loved the very little petting zoo.  The funniest part was when Bridger was backing up, and fell over into the feed bucket.  I would have had to pay if I wanted to go in, so I was outside the fence.  I leaned over and tried to pick him up, but when I put my weight on the fence, it wasn't strong enough to hold me, and I almost somersaulted right over the fence.  Luckily Amy was behind me and pushed my leg back down.  It would have been good footage for America's Funniest.

Bridger loved all the animals.  He is a little timid so he would just sit and watch or follow the animals around, but he loved it and wasn't ready to leave when I pulled him out.
We even got to ride the carousel for free!  Which he also loved; he screamed when it was time to get off.

For afternoon fun, we played in the pool.  Bridger loves the water this year!  He also loves wearing sunglasses.  In the evening we went to bed early and called it a Happy 4th!  :) Maybe next year we will try out some fireworks.
