Potty Training Bridger- Day 1

I knew this day had to come, and I have been dreading it from the start.  Bridger has been interested in "making bubbles" in the toilet for a while, but I wasn't ready.  Finally, I guess, we couldn't put it off any longer (Bridger is 2 1/2), and what could be better to do with our holiday than throwing a party!  That is. . . a potty training party.
This morning Devin and Bridger went on a special store outing.  They picked up LOTS of juice, some cool underwear and M&M's all for Bridger's potty training party!
I am super glad Devin got to be home for our Day 1 experience.  He was so good at keeping it fun for Bridger and helping him remind bear how to stay dry.  Bridger demonstrated for Bear how to go potty and gave him some great tips.  We did lots of singing, cheering and trying to make it exciting!
Bridger did really well today!  He had lots of successes and many accidents (he went through 7 pairs of shorts).  Every time he went pee he got some juice and M&M's.  He pooped twice on the potty today too!  It's a big thing to learn for a little guy, but he is starting to get the hang of it.  Hopefully the rest of the week goes as well as today!
