Earning Dragon Dimes

We went to a thrift store by our house (where I love to look for books and kid games), and Bridger found the coolest dragon he had ever seen! I told him we were not getting it, but when he persisted and put it up on the counter as we were checking out, I made a deal with him: I would buy it, but he couldn't have it until he earned it. He heartily agreed!
The dragon was $1.50, so he had to earn 15 dimes. Every time he helped mom and dad by doing a chore, he earned a dime. Devin created this little dragon dime chart for him. Each dime he earned was taped on to his poster, until he covered all the circles. He became so eager to unload the silverware every morning! And I loved when he asked for more chores to do!
Here it is... his dragon. He sticks his hand inside, and squeezes a lever to open and close his mouth. The dragon also lights up and makes noises. It took Bridger about six days to earn enough dimes to buy it back from me, and I guess it was worth it. He loves it!
This was his first venture with earning money. He worked hard for his dragon! I'd call it a success.
