It was a Happy Valentines Day!

Remember how in Elementary School, Valentine's Day was filled with excitement?  With special Valentine boxes, gathering free candy and specialized cards from classmates, and then searching out the card from the cute boy in the class and looking the standardized card over for words like "love", "cute", or "call me" with cute boy's name signed on it.  I remember fondly those special Valentine days.  Since leaving Elementary School I hadn't liked Valentines Day's, until I met Devin.  It was a day that was never meant for me.  Now, being married and having a family, Valentines Day is back at being very exciting, just like it was in my Elementary School days.  Especially with Bridger, because he makes everything more exciting.
I decorated the kitchen table with a pink table cloth and hearts.  Devin supplied Dove chocolates and arranged them on the table to make little corrals around the Schleich animals he bought himself, hmm, I mean, Bridger (he buys them for every special occasion hoping he can eventually have a farm).
When Bridger came downstairs he gave a little squeal of excitement, "Look a-it! It's a Happy Birthday!"  :)  He loved having chocolate for breakfast, that may have been all he ate for breakfast...  I did offer crepes with raspberries, lemon, and whipped cream, but except maybe two crepe bites, he had a chocolate feast.
It really was a happy day.  After breakfast we played with some friends, Devin came home for lunch with us, naps for the kids, family hugs, a Valentine dinner, and closed on a sparkling clean Valentine house :).  We stayed at home that night, but Devin and I did go on an amazing date the next night.
Friday night we left the kids home and Devin and I had our special night out (Woot, Woot!).  I think the last time we went on a date was probably for my birthday over a year ago.  We don't go out much. So this was a special thing!  We went to a Brazillian Steakhouse!  Probably the most expensive dinner place I've ever eaten at, most superior service and definitely the best steak I've ever had.  Mmm.. it was the big belly type of place that you sit down and grow two pant sizes before you leave.  I could get used to being spoiled like that! Very fun.
Bridger lined his chocolates up in a train.
Hope everyone had a happy Valentine's Day!
