My handsome little guy!

It is so fun to gaze at this little face. All his features are so tiny and perfect. I will admit, he did have a squashed nose right after delivery, but now that his nose has popped back to normal, he is the cutest baby there ever was! (...along with my other two munchkins, they were cute little babies too). Still tiny and sleepy most of the time, he's precious in the way only newborns are.
In Bridger's words "He's just so cute. He's just super dooper cute!"
We think he looks a lot like Bridger did as a baby. Although, I do think as he is getting older that he is taking on more of his own look. His eyes are different from Bridger's, in shape, we can't tell color yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if we get our first pair of brown eyes.

He sleeps the best when he is being held. I guess I'm getting soft because I didn't do that with my other babies.  Right from the start I wanted them to figure out sleeping on their own. But I really enjoy the sweet moments I get to cuddle him. Somehow, even when he is asleep, he can tell when he is being held or when we have placed him somewhere else to sleep. I saw him peek open one eye once to see where he was. It's only a matter of minutes after being placed somewhere that he wakes up.

Needless to say, since I am busy all day holding my newborn, I am not getting much done... but I don't mind so much... not yet.

He is starting to sleep better at night. He has started giving me about a 5 hour stretch between 11PM- 4AM, and he is sleeping on his own then. Right now he sleeps in our room, on a changing pad. It's not a bad bed for him, the edges turn up so he can't roll off.  It works. The first week we didn't mind him being in our room at all because he only made noise when he was waking up to eat and then he'd go right to sleep when he was done. Now he is turning into a grunter and it is harder to sleep through his noises. I'm ready about to move him out... to the hall, or possibly to join Bridger and Myra in their room.

Katey wanted to have a little photo shoot while she was here. Despite our lack of expertise in photography, we got some cute ones.

He was so alert we had a hard time getting good pictures at first, because his eyes were open and he kept moving and throwing his head back which would make him roll out of the careful way we tried to position him.  Finally I got him to sleep so he did better at staying in the position we put him.
