Sawyer is starting to get the receding hair line, and when he wrinkles up his brow he turns into a miniature old man. I realize this. I still think he is cute anyway! He is growing... his newborn outfits that used to be big and roomy are starting to fit tight. But when I swaddle him tight he still looks so tiny, like a little bean.
He has tricks. Though he is only four weeks old he can roll over from his stomach to his back! I don't think he is supposed to be able to do that yet. The first time I thought it was a fluke, then he did it again and I thought he got lucky. But he has proved himself. Tummy time is impossible because he always rolls over onto his back.
He also gets the hiccups daily. Its crazy, but he doesn't seem to mind.
He sleeps great in his carrier which helps with outings. I think he just likes being snuggled up close. I'm still working on getting him on a better sleep schedule.
I go to bed tired, I wake up more tired. Sawyer is connected to me for at least half the day nursing. But I love, love, love not being pregnant! It's great the energy and feeling of normal I have, even being sleep deprived. By the end of the day I often have a dull headache which begs for more sleep, but overall I am feeling so good!
I have been dreading taking all three kids to the grocery store. But today I did it and they did great! I practiced last week taking them on some shorter outings. I have to prep them and clearly tell them what I expect, but the true reason they stay so good is for their Jelly Belly reward! When they do a great job on our outings, they each get one jelly bean. It's the magical bean trick that really works!
