Happy Birthday Miss Myra

Our Myra turned three years old! She has grown up so much in the last year. It is crazy to see her little personality blossoming. She can be so silly and can laugh on demand. She's a chatterbox and will talk on hours to herself, to her baby doll "Sawyer", or on her pretend phone. She says things like "Mom, talk to me!" and "Mom, listen to me!" She makes up stories and goes off on intelligible tangents when asked questions. She is decisive, and has such an independent will, but still needs and loves her mom and dad. Though at times she can be defiant, she is still so very sweet. She is very sincere in giving hugs and kisses.

 
 

"Did I change yet?" This birthday thing, where her age changes overnight, is a bit shocking! She isn't quite sure she's done with being two. Maybe in part because holding up two fingers is a lot easier than holding up three!

She could hardly get to sleep on the eve of her birthday, because when she was supposed to be falling peacefully asleep, she spied us hanging crape paper and blowing up balloons! But she did fall asleep, and to her wonder and amazement, when she awoke the next morning her number had turned to three!

Birthday pancakes sprinkled with chocolate chips and juice for breakfast were the beginning of a happy birthday day. Then aunt Aileen took her to Build-A-Bear, to pick out a cute, pink little bear wearing a tutu whom Myra named Bubblegum. Then home for pigs-in-a-blanket birthday dinner, a pink fish cake (Bridger said it was a Salmon fish since it was pink), and so many presents. She mainly got clothes from us since she has grown out of all her old clothes, luckily she has aunts and grandma's and grandpa's to spoil her too. A very happy birthday for our Myra girl! And we absolutely loved being able to share it with Grandpa Poulton and Aunt Aileen!
