Holiday Cheer

Santa came to our ward Christmas party and this is how much Bridger loved him.  I thought he would be OK with him.  There is a blow-up Santa in our neighbors yard that looks semi real and when we walk by Bridger will sometimes wave to him, always saying "HO HO HO" many times as we walk away.  However seeing Santa Clause in real life was terrifying to him.  To think about it from his perspective, it would be a terrifying thing.  Being thrust down on the lap of a man unlike any he has ever seen before, with white hair and eyebrows, and a beard as long as mom's hair which covers most of his face so all you can see are his eyes and nose, wearing a funny red suit fitting snugly around a very round belly.  How is he to know that the odd looking man hands out candy canes and brings presents on Christmas day?
Thanksgiving was also very delicious and fun for us!  Since we don't live close to our family we form a group with all the other orphan families around to eat and spend the afternoon with.  This year we were with the Tanner's, our friends the Leavitt's with one little boy, and the Ayer's with three little girls, Devin's college friend Sam also came.  Devin was on pie again this year (I don't even attempt a pie, I know I'd be shown up).  He made two delicious pies: a berry pie and an apple pie.
Skip back a couple months to Halloween now...  Bridger was the cutest little chicken there ever was.  He pulled his little chicken along that clucks as it went down the hallways of the church at our ward party.  We also had our own little friend Halloween party on Halloween night since we weren't taking Bridger out Trick-or-Treating.  We let the kids play with green slime, make volcanoes in cups using baking soda, and watched the ghost eyes glow on our rice crispy treat cake.  Then of course we made our traditional Dinner in a Pumpkin.
