50 Questions

I picked up an opening shift in the child center today and when I got there early to set up, the maintenance man was already in the room, with his tools laid out on the floor and a mess of shavings from his drilling, while he was fixing the swinging door.  Bridger wanted to be right there to see everything he was doing.  The old man obviously didn't like to be bothered in his work and didn't seem to particularly like kids.  A couple times, he told Bridger to scoot back, so Bridger stood by the wall, barely inching toward him, while pestering him with questions:
"Whatcha doing?"   "I'm fixing this door"
"Oh.  What's that!?"  . . .
"Whatcha doing?" . . .
"What're you doing?" . . .
"What're you doing?" . . .
"Whatcha doing?"  . . .. "What does it look like I'm doing?"
"Are you mad?"
