- Myra LOVES reading stories. I've been reading to her more since Bridger has been gone. Usually I read to Bridger and she sits by us. But this week I've noticed how excited she gets when I read to her. She loves the little word board book (from Aileen), we read them over and over, especially before bed. And her new favorite is Llama Llama Red Pajama. I think probably because she recognizes the words, since she can say "Mama" and "baby". She gets so excited when she finds the book, she brings it to me and bounces up and down on her bottom.
- She loves to bounce. When she gets excited she does the cutest bouncing on her bottom. It must just work because she has short legs, because I can't do it. But she sits with her feet together and bounces up and down on her bottom. She especially loves bouncing on our bed!
- She likes giving High 5's
- She really loves looking in the mirror. She points and says "baby!".
- When she sees her reflection she gives herself 'kisses'. Our oven and dishwasher are a reflective black, so she likes playing there and also at our sliding glass door. She pats it and gives happy squeals and wet kisses which she does with an open mouth and blowing in and out. :)
- She has lots of conversations with me. I wish I knew what she talks about.
- Her game is crawling up the stairs. We don't have a gate because I hate stepping over them. So she crawls upstairs, I bring her back down, she crawls back up, I bring her back down, and this goes on all day. She is really good crawling up, she doesn't ever try coming down.
- She loves to play ball. We sit on the ground and roll it back and forth between us. She loves it.
- We practice walking with her and she finally took her first steps! On Wednesday (3/6) she took four steps on her own. On Thursday (3/7) she took 24 steps on her own! She is still fairly cautious about it but she has started going on her own for short stretches without us calling her.
HOORAY for MYRA!!!
